Shopping on a Budget

So I decided to put myself on a clothing budget of $25 a week. Only for myself. When I shop for my children, I use layaway. So do you think this is hard? Absolutely not.

I went to JCPenney this past Friday, and I purchased a side zipper mini skirt. The original price was $36. It was on clearance for $8.99.  I saved an additional 25% at the register, which brought the clearance price down to $6.74 plus tax = $7.29. Not bad, right?

The next store I went to was Rainbow. Now Rainbow is for the younger crowd, but if you know how to shop you can find some really good items to put together an outfit that is age appropriate. I found this white with black block shirt for $6.99 regular price. Yes regular price, no clearance. So with tax it was $7.56.

So all together I spent $14.85 on a blouse and skirt. I now have $10 and some change to go with next weeks purchase of finding an outfit for $25. Maybe I can get some shoes with that extra $10. Luv & Blessins!!!

My Loc Journey

I have been wearing my natural hair sense September 8, 2011. I started with the big chop. At first I wasn't too crazy about the look, but then I started to add hair accessories and learned to rock it.
I used head bands, flowers, and clips. I loved wearing my afro.

Once my afro got to the size I wanted, which was right at my neck tattoo, I decided to loc my hair. I Started my locs on May 8, 2013. I used the two strand twist method to start my locs. The products I use are Jamaican Lime Mango firm wax and the tingle shampoo. I also use grapeseed oil twice a week. Im truely looking forward to my locking journey.
